Very Rare version of the Confederation jug, Never seen another in this colourway.
It is meant to be by Carlton Ware in 1937, but this one confuses me with a much earlier Backstamp from the Victorian Era. I believe its for Thomas Hughes and Son (Ltd) of Burslem, which fits with the anniversary date of 1867 - 1937 Unless they time travelled!!
I think someone has just stuck that on.
It has two firing faults to the inside rim, just two lines, where the clay has expanded.
Still a great decorative piece.

Size is 14" wide by 9" tall
Huge statement piece.
Shows a lovely landscape with traditional Canoes on the lake and organic wooden look handle. The Native American chief looks very proud to the figure head.
I pack items well and have great feedback
