This collection of short stories were previously published in the periodicals Dime Detective, Black Mask, and The Saturday Evening Post in the 1930s. They showcase Chandlers abilities as a writer, including vivid characters, tight plotlines, and scenes of glittering evil.

Enclosed in the original pictorial dust wrapper.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with just a touch of shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart and bright, with some edgewear, and in particular some loss to the head of the backstrip. A small amateur tape repair to the head of the interior of the wrap. Internally, volume is firmly bound. Pages are age-toned, but are otherwise very clean throughout.
