Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and numerous vignette monochrome photographs. 

This in depth study of British plasterwork was written by Laurence Turner, with an introduction by Arthur T. Bolton, the curator of Sir John Sloanes museum. The work provides an in depth history of British decorative plasterwork from 1509 to 1760. This work also features prominent examples of decorative plasterwork in Great Britain such as Craigievar Castle, Muchalls Castle, Haddon Hall, Chastleton House, Knole House, and Speke Hall. 
 
Lacking Dust wrapper.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth. Lacking dust wrapper. Externally very smart with fading to the spine and extremities of the boards, slight marks to the board an spine and bumping to the extremities. Booksellers label to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with the odd minor mark.
